Coloured Discs on 3 Dowels

This simple activity starts out by focusing on grasping and manipulation of objects as the child learns to hold the discs and guide them onto the dowels. Later it can be used for colour recognition and sorting exercises, and eventually for counting and simple math operations. The wooden base measures 12 cm (about 4.75") square with three different coloured dowels attached, and each dowel has three colour-matched wooden discs.  The dowels measure approximately 11 cm (about 4") high.  Colours may not be exactly as shown.
